  5. Connect the generator to the grounding rod: Attach a copper or insulated copper grounding cable to the grounding terminal of the generator. Securely fasten the other end of the cable to the grounding rod. Ensure that the connections are tightly screwed or clamped.

  6. Check the grounding: Verify that the grounding is correctly installed by using a multimeter to measure the resistance between the generator housing and the grounding rod. A low resistance indicates that the grounding is effective.
