From container to battery storage
ChargeBlock was founded with a clear mission: to make battery storage more innovative, compact, and scalable. We build upon the 25 years of experience of Unit45 Group – a leading specialist in custom containers, with 30,000 containers now in their lease fleet. From this experience, we witnessed how the energy market became increasingly complex: high grid management costs, fluctuating prices, and limited flexibility pose significant challenges. At the same time, we saw a battery market filled with white-label solutions, lacking control over quality or long-term reliability. This needed to change. As a close collaborative partner of Unit45, we leverage their expertise in container development – from complete hospital bed units to sustainable living solutions in containers – and in 2022, we began developing our own battery containers, specifically focused on grid integration combined with smart energy management.

With AI-driven optimization, real-time monitoring via the Sunsynk app, and an IP65 enclosure for both indoor and outdoor use, these systems offer maximum flexibility and control for private users. Thanks to the collaboration with Sunsynk, we can deliver high-quality home storage that seamlessly connects to dynamic contracts; EPEX, the imbalance market, and backup power supplies—with the aim: to provide more control over your energy consumption, lower costs, and a higher degree of self-sufficiency.
