From container to battery storage
ChargeBlock was founded with a clear mission: to make battery storage more innovative, compact, and scalable. We build on the 25 years of experience from Unit45 Group – a leading specialist in custom containers, now with 30,000 containers in the lease fleet. From that experience, we saw how the energy market was becoming increasingly complex: high grid management costs, fluctuating prices, and limited flexibility present major challenges. At the same time, we saw a battery market full of white-label solutions, lacking control over quality or long-term reliability. That needed to change. As close collaboration partners with Unit45, we leverage their experience in container development – from complete hospital bed units to sustainable living solutions in containers – and started in 2022 with the development of our own battery containers, specifically focused on grid integration combined with smart energy management.

While other suppliers depend on external parties and therefore lack control over the supply chain, ChargeBlock retains full control. We keep batteries and inverters in stock, allowing us to respond quickly to malfunctions. Our customers have a single point of contact in the Benelux, with service and maintenance guarantee.
