The standard voltage in the Netherlands and most other European countries is 230 volts. Although it was previously common to refer to 220 volts, the voltage has gradually been increased to 230 volts. This is the voltage currently used for household electricity in the Netherlands. However, it is important to note that some older appliances may still indicate 220 volts, but they can still be safely used with the current voltage of 230 volts.
